Growing up near the ocean on the South Coast of New South Wales I developed a passion for surfing, and through that, surf film making and photography. I started documenting the characters and intricacies of the ocean from a young age, and continue to do so. I never set out to become anything in particular, only to live creatively and push the scope of my experience for adventure. But when a wedding photographer friend asked me to come along and help shoot the greatest adventure in anyone’s life, I knew I had found my calling.
I see life in angles, in lines of perspective, a slight turn of the head, the blink of an eye, subtle glimpses of magic others might pass by. Cameras help me translate, interpret and understand what I see. To me, photography and filmmaking are not services, They are art forms. I like to think of your booking as a commission for an artwork, that you can view and enjoy for the rest of your life. I find satisfaction in capturing and documenting one of the most important days of your life in the way that I see it. Every wedding is a memorable experience for me.
The most important thing to me about your wedding, even more than capturing beautiful moments throughout your day, is for you to have the most stress free, enjoyable day possible. And to have fun!
On your special day, I try to be as discreet as possible, and document the wedding without putting my camera in anyone’s face. I find this is the best way to capture the story of the day.
I am happy to travel whatever distance it may be to be there on your day.
